Q:interesting fact: I used to really love cream cheese and pancake syrup sandwiches. (It's important to use crunchy toast. Vital.) All that really stops me anymore is cream cheese will probably make me sick.
when i was little i’d hollow out bread and make little bread balls and dip them in ketchup and eat them (i would also eat the crust, the crust was a special treat because i love bread crust)
I remember ketchup sandwiches! I liked putting pepper on them, I think. I always feel a little bad for people who don’t like bread crust/ends cuz I gotta figure maybe they’ve only ever had really bad bread. The crust is where it’s at.
You were born to be real, not perfect.
How Dungeons and Dragons is endorsing the darkest parts of the RPG community
Note: The people named in this article have a history of harassing their critics. As such I have chosen to keep my sources and any traceable information they have given me anonymous to protect them.
Three weeks ago the 5th edition of Dungeons and Dragons came out. D&D is the iconic tabletop role playing game, so a new edition is a big deal. It’s one of the few times that the small, insular pen and paper community gets noticed by the rest of the world. Many game websites have talked about it, notably Polygon’s piece on gender inclusive language. Yet at the same time as D&D tries to appeal to those outside the gender binary, it has been driving them away by employing two of the most toxic personalities in tabletop gaming.
Read this; it’s important.
Slurs are not oppressive because they are offensive, they are oppressive because slurs by nature of being slurs draw upon certain power dynamics to remind their target of his/her/their vulnerability in a certain relation to power and as an extension of that, to threaten violence and exploitation of that vulnerability.
"Most moviegoers will never know that women of color and LGBTQ characters were cut from Guardians of the Galaxy, but audiences will get to relate to the talking raccoon and the talking tree.”
I was thinking today about Richard Dawkins and his self congratulatory date rape tweet and the way that it creates this dichotomy of ‘assault’ and assault. But the thing is every single girl I know has a story about the boy who wouldn’t stop snapping her bra straps in 8th grade, or losing her virginity because her boyfriend asked so persistently that she felt guilty saying no, or the boy who got her blackout drunk at a party and invited himself into her bed, or giving a blowjob for the first time because the boy she was with said she would if she really liked him, etc
Every single girl I know. We all have that story of non violent assault that we’ve internalized as unimportant. And really, that’s all those comparisons do, they delegitimize everything that isn’t stranger violence and shame women (especially young girls) into thinking they’re over reacting; they normalize harassment, painting it as some kind of adolescent rite of passage instead of the sexual assault that it actually is, and feed directly into rape culture
And you know, I’m a smart girl, I’ve read a lot of feminist theory, but I was still 26 years old before anyone told me that it wasn’t ok, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. So maybe let’s be less concerned with alleviating the guilt of boys who date rape, I mean that’s what this is about right?
8 ( spiders on my person are exempt from the terms of the treaty (I am not scared of spiders inherently I just do not want them ON me 8 (
YES. THIS. Spiders are permissible, so long as they are not within 1 foot of me. Or, iunno, shifty looking. But mostly it’s just the personal space thing.
Shifty disappearing spiders are the worst.
Recently Kaige told us he wishes he could be both a boy and a girl because he likes playing princesses as much as ninjas and he doesn’t want to get made fun of. So we bought him a tutu and gave him a makeover. Meet the new and improved Kaige. If you have a problem with it please keep it to yourself and kindly stay out of his life. Which would be a shame because as you can see he’s freakin’ awesome! #letmebeme #mumblr #stopbullying
